Cecil Staples once told me that one of the ways to get good cows was to look for a good bull calf out of a two year old. He figured the bulls daughters would also be productive and if they could produce exceptional as a two year olds chances are they would just keep doing it. I am also a big believer that a bull should have maternal power in his background and RJ Vegas Night 0822 seems to have it in dam and grand dam.
Will be interesting to see if we hear from him in the future.

Okotoks and afhm, I agree 100%. Accidentally came across this fellow and did some research. Think he has a good future ahead of him. He also has a little different pedigree then the norm. He's strictly Chi-Angus and void of any Maine genetics which will give you some heterosis on your clubby population. I just think he has some complementary value. He may not be the perfect answer for every cow but he'll work on a pretty large population IMO.

He sells in the upcoming Ard Ridge sale and I probably should have never said anything.

ME'N MY HAWKEYE 22W was mentioned when this thread was opened I thought I would bring him up again.  I have an fantastic daughter by Hawkeye and believe that he is one of those bulls that will breed true like his sire (Saskvalley Pioneer 126P) and be a breed changing sire.  Hawkeye is pictured in his working clothes end of June 2011.

Well I personally hope my herd sire will be the best thing!!!

WHR Stonehenge is his name and we really love the way he is built, fluid moving and docile. Add in Bloodstone x Cumberland and we feel pretty confident. I love the Cumberland cows.
