Professional Sites vs. Homemade Sites

I would like to thank all of you for your comments.  It was not my attempt to promote my own or someones business.  My website was started by my wife several years ago and now my brother-in-law has taken over.  Both do a good job, I just wondered if it made a difference.  I was asked to post my website address, but I feel that this would be over stepping the boundaries.  As some suggested it is posted on different websites so people can easily access it.  Thanks again.
