Prospect Show and Private Treaty sale

A friend of mine who is in charge of a regional show for a small breed (They get around 100 head) approached me about some ideas for putting on another show of some kind, to help spread costs.  The show is the middle of September in the upper midwest.

I had an idea about holding a junior prospect steer and heifer show along with a private treaty sale.  Guys could bring calves that they were interested in selling and display them in the morning and sell them privately.  In the afternoon we would hold a prospect show open to any junior cattle, including the private treaty calves.

Does anybody know of anything like this.  Does this sound like anything people would be interested in.

I think it sounds like a great idea as well, the ony other thing even close to this that I know of would be trauschs in it to win it show. depending hwere it was I woud love to come to it!
