Any experiences with Purple Eclipse calves?  Growth, structure problems, muscling?

The Reserve Shorty at the GA State Show was a Purple Eclipse and she was awesome.

Any experiences with Purple Eclipse calves?

Don't know anything about him, but was wondering if that is what you get when you breed a red cow to a blue bull, or vice versa?

This is a Purple Eclipse X All About You steer.  We used him two years on crossbred cows.  Really liked the calves.  They were a little bit leggy but other than that they were very hairy, thick, solid calves.
