Hello to all. I enjoy coming on here and reading almost all of the topics.  There are a lot of people on here that help a lot of people out and I think that it is great.

Anyway, We just really got started a couple of years ago and I really need to adjust some breeding of cows.  I have had some nice calves but I have used semen from some of the older bulls and I am not getting that big big or huge top that you would like.  I know that it is tough to make suggestions on what to bred to with out pictures but I thought I would list a couple of my cows to see if any one would make suggestions just from the breeding of the cows.

All of these are cows and have had calves already.

To increase thickness I would use Redhot on your larger framed cows and Milkman on the cows that are more conservative in their frame score. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Hate to say it but, I have seen some great Heat Seeker and HEat Wave on IMprint cows. The cows add just enough pretty to take the edge off. Remember what you will be sacrificing by asking for big butts and big tops = is calving ease. Those kind of calves rarely come small and grow into themselves. If you are just wanting to beef up your calf crop there are tons of bulls that will do that, but if you want the circus freaks there is a trade off.
We try to breed to for sound replacement females and moderate easy fleshing steers. I feel the market is also moving toward sound easy fleshing animals and away from the extreme. Just my humble opinion.
