My response was really similar to the subject of your post!!!  <beer>

I can already tell she is worth every penny of it.  Going to win every show and probably flush $500,000 in embryos by the time she is 3.

Lol yep i know a few other calves out of new bulls that has sold 2 or 3 times for a wide variety of prices, yet never left the farm and nobody ever paid... I cant believe people actually expect us to believe stuff like this

Makes me want to run right out and buy a tank full of semen for this breeding season.

Honestly I saw it and though to myself, sounds about right. When these tricks get played its like when a politician is caught lying....do you fein suprise? Nope you shrug and read between the lines. Personally I loved italian stallion at denver and am going to use him. I dont sell many show calves and only breed 60 or so that way each year but having buzz on a bull certainly doesnt hurt. If the calves are good they are easy to sell, if they are are good and out of a popular bull its even easier.

No different from many purebred sales..... if ya ever have time, type in some registration numbers of "high selling" animals.... pick the breed, pick the sale....many will NEVER be transferred.....  I keep sale catalogs to keep track of a few critters and it is amazing to see how many of these "high selling" animals never surface again and they slip into oblivion and obscurity.

But the calf sure is a hairy little thing isn't it!

I am not here to defend anyone or condemn anyone.

At $10,000, I would not say that it is outside of realm of possibility.  If that number had been $30,000 I would say no possible way.

Once again, just watch that Matt Lautner go!  He is the master of promotion and marketing.  I wish I could hire him for a month to overhaul my marketing efforts.

On a different note, how can anyone call bullshit or not from a picture like that?

I have seen people pay more for less
But a picture can only say so muc,h so maybe just maybe the calf looks incredible and they will sell it for $40,000+ this fall

All I will say is you can't believe everything you hear or see. Dealt with these people before.

Which people have you dealt with, the "Private Buyer from Kearney NE", the producer, or the promoter?

Here is a maternal brother to this heifer that was Supreme Champion Market Animal at the Cass County Fair this week..........
