We just had a Red Hot calf born a few minutes ago. Born unassisted from our Black Dice cow. 4 days late. It is black, with a white underbelly. 85 lbs. Very aggressive calf. She looks like a pretty good one.
I'm going to have to get some pictures of this little gal. She gets better every day. She goes 0-60 in about four second flat though.
She's a pistol.

Yuppiecowboy, you have me wondering if we looked at different bulls. I looked at Red Hot at Hawkeye last year, and thought he and Sunseeker were the two most impressive mature bulls there. I would call him thick, big boned and correct. I do know that he sometimes sires them too small, but I sure couldn't call him ugly. I like Hard Core, but on that same day, he came a lot closer to ugly than Red Hot. I am however told that I don't see things exactly as others see them. To each his own I guess. I don't like the th, but I do like the bull.JMO

Olsun, I am confident when I first saw Redhot he had beenrode hard and put away wet as when I recently saw him he was anything but ugly.

yuppiecowboy, he crippled himself last January/February breeding cows in South Texas.  From what I understood of the injury, he'd probably still be in poor condition from that.

edit:crap just noticed the date of the post I was replying to.  Yes, he had just come off of a run as a lease bull in March.

The little gal that bought our Blue Blood steer, bought her as a market heifer.
She is a tick straight in her back legs, but for her county fair project, she will work.
