We kept this red Fast FreddieXYardley Comanche heifer. This is clipped up job of this heifer last fall.  We are torn between just using a angus cross bull for to use I-80, Ali, or any other kcalving ease clubby bull.  Thoughts? We really like how maternal her mom is and she is built just like her mom except for she is red.

I 80 or one of the Ohlde Shorthorn Jazz deals on SEK-the right JPG relative would be really good on one made like her-as they have been crossed ALOT with Angus-simm,clubbies before: i-80 and Dirty Harry-or clone-or any number of Ali (or clone) or sons (Rumer Mill. i-67) etc. would all work well too. I never thought of using a JPJ relative but that could be a really good idea.  What are the BW's on JPJ relatives?

I still really like a high accuracy low bw angus on heifers, The Answer has worked well for me, as well as Missing Link, and Final Answer. There are also some really nice red angus if you want to stay with red. Its all preference. Good Luck she is a beautiful heifer.

Thank you for your input!  Yeah the most important thing is a live calf and a healthy cow the first year.  We like her and wished our son was old enough to drag her to some jackpot shows.

You wont have calving issues with any of the bulls here-Redwines is the only one unproven-but his foundation cattle are old Okie clubby (way back-KABA Leader:alot of Dividend etc) and they are EZY calving for many generations:so if his Jazz son wasnt real big at birth-and he says its a go on hiefers,he will work. I remember really liking the picture of the red heifer when you posted it last year. That mating sure worked out for you, her heifer calf looks great!

Thank you!  We AI-ed her to Uncle Kracker and a vet confirmed her bred to him. We are going to buy some Rumor Mill semen and try that out on her afterwards. Our red heifer is THC/PHAF. Her calf is THF/PHAF. (Blood Tested)
