I think its good that the club deal deal really isn't about youth...its about parents living vicariously through their children. How many kids know what their steers name is let alone who the sire is. The parents write the checks for semen. I wonder if someone would wear a reverse cowgirl shirt to school would that be ok? I often wondered what the wildest name the Shorthorn assn would allow on a pedigree. How about the angus assn. Would they accept the reverse cowboy name? What about "pukin drunk","bad finger","whoredog" and nasty bitch? Does the guy with the cowgirl bull have a daughter? It it going to be a gross out contest to get attention. What words will the show circuit magazines print and what won't they print? In todays world I'm sure kids see worst things or listened to worse things. has anybody listened to Mo Jo Nixon on Outlaw country(satelite radio)? Could we start a contest to see who can sneek the dirtiest name through the Angus pedigree system. I named a bull Hellgap and was a little surprised it passed the Shorthorn deal. Interesting questions. This could be an interesting study subject for a socialologist I would think. YOU WHORE DOG. ;D

Actually the bull got the name because he's everything a cow isn't. Big boned, big butted, stout, and hairy then all get out. The perfect bull to change your Angus cows and get those high dollar half bloods everybody is after. So get your heads out of the gutter. I hope this clears this up for everyone, and now you can explain the meaning to your kids and moms.

And there is some beach front property for sale outside Washington, KS, too.

There is a tropical island in Iowa I would sell you too!!

People who promote bulls really ought to run an internet search before they settle on a name.  If you want a reason to throw up, try googling the bull "Hairy Bear."  Sounds innocuous enough . . . go ahead . . . double whore dog dare ya.  You won't think about this bull the same ever again.

I've always felt that I'm pretty open-minded for the most part...but I can't go for names like this.  Just not right.

I think it is always interesting that a bull with one of "these" names, gets so much notice. Here we are again 8days later and on page 5 talking about the bull. It seems to work just fine for a promotional advertisement. I will also note that by and large most PPL have never tried to promote a bull. Not an easy task!!

next bull name, "no promotion"

or "nopromo"

or  "all hype"

i think it's just fun, just like the names, though i still haven't seen a bull with one of these names who's pedigree i would stare at.

ITA Husker! I chose to raise my kids in a "clean" environment; we do not cuss, cheat, lie or steal. We are very active in our church, and live that lifestyle. God comes first in our house. My children would never know what a reverse cowboy was, nor did I until this thread. This is because we live that lifestyle. If they heard something like that at school, they would honestly just walk away and think "how immature". My daughter would love to register one of her heifers or steers "Hoof Heart-ed" (say it really fast), but would never really do it because of her morals she has been raised with! Fun to talk about, but our ranch name is attached to that animal forever... enough said :)

True statement GoWyo. Didn't have a clue. Have to ask Phil about the name sometime for fun. I'll bet he doesn't have a clue either.
