Has anyone ever used cheap hairspray for like adhesives? That sounded like it may work also but you never know
I also fit with scissors  O0

Hey now, sometimes you gotta break out the good ole skizzers...

I bet you could get away with using hair gel at a non-spray show...

I've used scissors on tailheads tons of times, and even on the backs of steer legs that have gotten pretty thick.

Have you tried using a hair straightener yet? Don't use a woman's Chi product b/c those are pretty pricey and she will get very upset! LOL

Yes, it works wonders...I was helping a girl with a calf and the tail hair met in the middle and curled out. I was thinking of what I could do to fix it and I asked her if she had a straightener she did and she freaked out when she saw what I was fixing to do with it(It was her beloved Chi lol) I finally talked her into it though.

Well you see, the last time I asked a girl to borrow her straightener for tailheads, she got pretty nervous about it. I said that with if she let me use it, and she won the show, she could buy a couple new straighteners, and keep the one I used for the barn....she didnt like it but she had to go change to show and that steer had the prettiest tailhead at the show....he didn't win the whole thing, but he was reserve and she had enough money to buy a new one anyhow.  (lol)

I hope my kids don't see the end of this post about the Chi straightener.  I'm going to go hide mine or I'm sure they'll want to try it....lol

And then your parents wonder why you fight all the time! ;)

I know around here, it would be a capital offense for my son to take my daughter's hair straightener.  She would consider it to be justifiable homicide.

So ... if you need a hair straightener, just go to Walmart and buy a cheap one..  $14.95

A few years ago, we heard about the Olive Oil stuff that you can get from like say Wal-Mart or so, we went to the Wal-Mart at town south of where we live (because we live in between two towns) and asked them if they had any, because I couldnt find it myself, and the worker lady looked at me funny and asked what in the world I would need that for? I told her for my steer, she said 'Oh I guess steers would have the same textured hair as a colored person, but I'm sorry ma' am but we dont carry ethnic hair care products'
I thought that was kinda funny.

Go to the Northern Store they have it. K-Mart in Chilly-town does too.
Here is a good one you should get a chuckle out of.
Likewise we were told to go to Wal-Mart and get some Olive Oil to use on the calves hair. Well I ask a clerk where I can find it and the clerk gives exact directions to the row and shelf to where it is located. We grab a couple cans and head on home. We start spraying it in the calves hair and notice its kind of heavy and greasy………. Long story short we bought the Olive Oil you spray on pots and pans like “Spam” instead of the Olive Oil for hair. The girls still remind me of it every time we get a new can.

The conditioner we use most of the time is Oster Strawberry Demasilk. You can find it at most livestock supply stores. Very good stuff, and it sells almost as fast as they put it on the shelves. It's light, and doesn't leave a film. really helps the hair "pop"
If I can't find it, we use TRESemme Moisture Rich. It is very close to the Oster conditioner.
This is a condidtioner you use after washing them. Not anything you spray in the coat.
