I saw him when he was at the Ohio Beef expo but haven't seen much out of him. He looked really good in person. Anybody have any luck with him?

We used a son or grandson can't remember exactly  of DFS GOLD 002 couple of years ago.. Got some nice calves.  I too have liked Solid Gold's picture.  I just don't have enough cows to use him on.  For some reason the BW trait sticks out in my head.. but then again, it might be loco!

He was even better in person than the picture. HUGE A**, rib, and bone that you don't find in PB cattle often. I have only seen a couple that I remember. A steer that won the breeds at a very tough Clark Co. OH fat show last summer (this one could have been at state fair, but he was big enough, weighed like 1380 or something I think), and a steer at a sale in IN last fall that was a nice county one too. Lautner promoted a son last year as well

Anybody know what BW are like on him, or how his front-end was built?

I didn't get to go to Clark counties show last year but if it won even the breed show then it woulda been a pretty good calf. He came from a good breeder so I imagine he is still getting used by them

His BW EPD is 6.3 with .39 acc. He has about 45 calves registered. BW's 50#'s to 125#s. Seems like when he was used on the Trump cattle he threw smaller calves. Nothing scientific on my part just looking at his progeny in ASA database.

Saw him in person and Throttle you are right, for a purebred shorty he had a monster top and huge rear end. I saw him walk and he was sound. He was hairy too. Nice bone. Well, I might have to use him on one of my old cows that throws em small.
