Rumor Mill Calves UPDATE

We have only had one so far, a heifer calf out of a second calver (SimAngus Cross).

Probably about 65# her last calf was closer to 75# so he downsized a lot

She is still a tank but has curly hair, is that prevalent among the Rumor Mill calves?

From all Rumor Mill calf reports, we have not seen or heard issues with curly hair; in most cases, we have seen and heard just the opposite; his calves' hair has been thick, straight, and healthy.

Of course, there are always exceptions.

She didn't keep the curly hair, was long and thick jet black until mid august. Once she slicked off she started growing like an SOB  <rock>. Hopefully this doesn't come in sideways, I tried rotating it.

If you enlarge the picture you can see she has some bone, muscle and depth and spring of rib. And you might be able to see that the hair in her ears is still longer than her tags  (lol). Unfitted, comments welcome.

Also as you can see in the picture she is on some junky grass and weeds.

From what we have seen, Rumor Mill continues producing calves that are attractively made and structurally sound while possessing dimension, bone, and good shag.  They seem to be good tempered and grow well.

He will be collected again at the beginning of 2015.

I have had a few people ask me to share some pictures of Rumor Mill progeny.  We continue to be exceedingly pleased with how well the calves are progressing and performing in and more importantly ( at least in my opinion ) outside the showring.  Here are a few pictures of Rumor Mill calves.
