Reserve grand was the Hamp that was shown by one of Stu Dildine's students from Bullard, TX.  Grand was the cross shown by Kristen Miller of Grandview TX.

Wouldn't it be ironic if a Dildine hog move up because the grand failed a drug test.

It was not a failed drug test but a breech of ownership. I was told that the hog was seen being shown at a small county fair by someone else. Then was seen here reported and thrown out. So sad and unfair to all the others that could have had the reserve spot.

Those are the prices minus the last 3 zeros...    110,000, 34,000, etc.

What does a breech of ownership mean? Is it something like hog is supposd to be dead after being bought at a fair or what?

Cole Clanton in our county had gotten Champion Duroc, but I hadn't ever seen where they posted who had overall.  Thanks

I heard that the Reserve Hamp was categorized as a crossbred but the owners wanted it shown as a purebred so later they went back and told the people something got messed up and their pig was supposed to show as a Hamp.  The person who classified the pig wasn't there at that time and the people who put the pig in the Hamp class didn't know any better.  Later the person who classified the hog realized that they had switched it to a purebred class and the pig was DQ'ed.

The URL of the Browarny website is www.browarny.com.  But, the page where all the photos are is actually www.showchampions.com.

Reimann and Doris sold the Grand, I think Scotten's raised him.  Copus sold the reserve to Nowatzke.
