Calves come small and he seems to be hit and miss, calves not overly consistent.

We have just about 40 ranch hand calves this year, used him last year as well.  Calves sent to slaughter were BIG!  1400-1500 LBS at 10 to 11 months.  They tend to be a bit rangy looking, which is ok if that's what you like in your Simmies.  Lots of leg, and not too heavy fronted.  Good luck.  Interesting mating on the Sin City.  Do you have any pics?

I actually don't have any pics of him but He was a pretty nice calf. Just recently sold him. He was black and has alot of bone, hair but he wasn't rangy looking. He was a very stout made thick calf, that could have been the Sin City in him though.

My daughter is showing a Ranch Hand heifer this year.  She is a pretty neat heifer.  She is thick, clean fronted, & sound.  She is definitly not rangy.
