Better pic of the big guy.  28 months of age.  Just finished breeding.  Resources are certainly the easiest fleshing cattle I have on the farm.

Good looking bull there-- likely my favorite of those I've seen you post.

his units are falling in STOCK, compared to his brothers!!!  Renown is holding steady... Resource sold units on sirebuyer for $20 the other day!  I think Renown will surpass him.  We've been MORE than impressed with our renown calves!

Haha that's a pretty strong statement.  From what I have seen the Renown calves are less consistent but probably are lower BW.  Pictured below are a couple of random Resource 1st calf heifers from our herd.  No word of a lie, they all look identical.  Not sure how a bull with daughters like that is "falling in stock"  (lol)

Nyk -- are you breeding Resource to your larger framed cows or going across the board with him?  How much is cow frame size influencing the progeny size?  They definitely have a distinct fleshy and easy doing look.

GoWyo - I am using him (or his sons) across the board.  The sons and daughters aren't small in my herd.  My cow herd is mainly Frame 6 and under and 1500-1600lbs mature and my parents are more like frame 6 to 7 (some maybe higher) 1600-1900lb cows.  I don't feel he has downsized in terms of weight or mass at all.  Maybe knock a little leg off of them but I can't seem to find much value in the air underneath the cows!

Updated picture of an SAV Resource 2 year old that we are offering for sale this fall, N7's Blackwood Lady 4C.  Her dam is a daughter of TC Stout 407 and is a 3/4 sibling to my national champion cow, Blackwood Lady 2T. We've got her bred early to Bruns Blaster (MOGCK Bullseye).  Should be a cool calf.

Just picked up on Blaster in the last couple of months.  That might be a pretty cool mating.

The blasters we have are stout.  Surprising amount of bone for his moderate birth weights.  Plenty of grow, tons of hair, and pretty docile.  My concern was his huge milk epd.  My hope is that on the moderate, easy fleshing Resource daughters they can handle it without pushing energy requirements too high.

A couple more SAV Resource first calvers.  Both cycled early and rebred.  Both have excellent udders and are great mommas.  Gaining weight and flesh on terrible grass while raising nice calves.
