It's summer time now and we are taking cows to pasture next week. We noticed that a few of our cows have a lot more hair that they didn't shuck. What blade/clipper combo do you use? We have our regular head clippers as well as an older "sheep" head.
Also I've seen a few photos going around with younger calves having a decent amount of their hair clipped of before heading to pasture. (Not clipping for pictures) is there a big benefit to this vs shucking after weaning?
Any tips and pointers would be great!
Thanks in advance.
