Shorthorn in hot weather....

Hi fellows.
Where is the hottest weather/place were Shorthorns are bred?
Here in southern Brazil we got summers with around 25C to 30C, some days reaching to 34C in summer.
The hottest time is from 15 december until early march. Hottest days will to be on mid january to early february.
Humidity around 75% to 85%.
So, how many days with hot, which TºC, humidity % and what bloodlines are raised on this places.

Here in south east Washington my dad runs shorthorn bulls in a semi desert environment anytime after the 15th of may can be 90-115 Fahrenheit until the end of august. He turns his bulls out the first of June for 60 days so they pretty well get the major heat and they do very well.

We are regularly above 35C in summer, Alexandria district, South Africa. I am sure the Aussie breeders have temperatures that make ours look mild!
My dad's place reaches 45C in summer, he has some Shorthorn/Hereford crosses but mainly purebred Herefords. Not as humid as Alexandria though.
Our Shorthorns are slick coated very early though in summer, and our winters are fairly mild.

Where i am in New Zealand from Dec through to Feb we can get to 30-33C with humidity in the mid 80's. Single digits is normal for our winter. Summer further north it late 20's to 30 with higher humidity. The nature of New Zealand being an Island with a central deviding range means there is quite a difference north to south and east to west in a relatively small distance.

I worked on a shorthorn stud in South Australia from Jan through to May in the middle of a drought. Day time temps where often into the low 40's but was a dryer heat than home. Queensland northern territory is where you would get the hot and humid hense alot more brahman influence.

I worked on a commercial shorthorn operation in South Australia for a short while during my tour down under, they said in the middle of summer they can go 2 weeks without night time temps dropping much below 40C, though it's a very dry heat.
Also, Marellan Shorthorns has moved North to breed shorthorns in Queensland where they are selecting breeding lines for tick resistance. They seemed to be doing pretty well selling breeding stock to improve the fertility of the Brahman-based cowherds.

We have lower humidity generaly but in the late summer during monsoon season we can get high heat and humidity.  From after about May 15 until October 15 we average 35 c with July neing the worst averaging 38C we have many days at or above 40C.  I have tried many different genetics but perfer slick haired as apposed the popular show genetics too much hair equals dead calves.  I started calving this week and its been rough had a heat wave 110 to 100 all week with 6 out of 42 calves dead from heat exhaustion.  We have been at our county fair so checking them multiple times a day has been hard.

It's been blazing hot here- finally starting to cool off.  Daily heat index averages over 100 June July and Aug
