Shorthorns picky any tips

Why are shorthorns so picky and dainty when it comes to eating grain. Angus will run you down shorthorns have no desire. Are there any tips on how to get one an appetite

This group of 4 I'm feeding right will come from far end of the run and meet you at the trough to eat. Had one a couple of years ago that we campaigned that we would have to switch feeds on her every two weeks to keep her eating.

I sometimes wonder if it has something to do with their laid back attitude??
