What is this cross like?

It is a cross that is gaining power on the show circuit, Chris Black is using it in his program, maybe some of the people at his sale will comment .................

Up until a few years ago, we ran 100 purebred Charolais as well as our Shorthorn herd. We always bred our Charolais heifers to Shorthorn bulls, as well as about 20 of our bottom end Char females.  I would say that this cross was one of the most popular we ever produced. We always held the heifers over and bred them and we always had a waiting list for them. The caves are a nice tan or even roan color and I would think they would  be exceptional cows to be bred to clubby bulls.  The cows are thick, easy fleshing and milk well. We still have a few left that are used as recips. They are fertile, and good moms.  This is one of the better crosses I have found. The steers always topped the markets here.

Years ago we got a few Char X Shorthorn calves when a neighbor's bull got in with our cows.  The calves were a deep golden yellow or gold roan in color.  They were also very good show steers at the time.

Dickerson's are winning a lot in Kansas with a 1/4 shorty and 3/4 charolais.  Saw her this past weekend and she's pretty sweet.  Pictured in the current Show Circuit.  She is being shown as AOB.  She is a solid white.

I have attached a pic of a Shorthorn X Charolais cow that is presently being used as a recip in our herd. She has had some excellent calves of her own, but we needed recips so she was picked. This year she has a super white ET heifer that we hope to take to Louisville this fall.

We have a couple females in our herd that we purchased from kris black over the past few years. They are both sired by WG( purebred char) and out of Casper.  They are the same breeding as the dam of Troubadour which as a really good ai sire that kris raised. Three full sisters sold in his sale this past weekend, and on going for 12,000.

Our calves out of these females have always been very big boned, big hipped, and tons of hair.

In Troubadour's pedigree the Charolais is WG what does that stand for an the breeding,alot of his herd has that but never could fine a pedigree of the bloodline in it.Thanks for your help.

To be honest, i am not sure what pedigree backs WG. I'll be sure to ask Kris next time if i can remember.
