We are getting ready for our first set of show calves this fall and had some questions on housing. We have an enclosed barn with 3 12x12 pens. Thinking of turning it into one pen for the 2 calves but is that going to be enough room for them all winter? I have a 40x60 cement lot outside but I've herd cement is bad on legs? During the summer they'll have a grass lot outside but we live in Iowa so that is out of the question during winter. The barn is cements floored but I'll be putting down a sand base and bedding with wood chips. Thanks

That's not enough room for them and cement is terrible on feet/legs.  They'd be fine outside on the grass paddocks.  Mine spend all winter outside and it's a lot colder up here than it will be at your place.

They can be outside in the snow. Even in the winter we bring them in and work with them and it sounds like your barn will be just fine for that. They need plenty of room for excersise and to play. Just if you wash them make sure they are dry before kicking out.
