The only real reason I'm a bit skeptical is all the progress pictures I've seen are from the fall season. Our cattle are hairing up like crazy anyway and I'm not sure if any products we've used help accelerate growth like this show coat claims.

Olsen I completely agree with you. When I saw those pics I thought the exact same thing. Its fall and of course they are going to hair up a bunch no matter what you use. Would like to know if anyone has had any luck with it in the summer months?

It appears to be a bunch of oils and stuff, so I'd be careful with it in the summer. I'd probably be inclined to use it similarly to MTG. That is, use it in the cooler after washing, rinse it out and apply sheen at night.

I have to say that Revive Lite has been great for us since it came out and this Show Coat sounds like it may be similar. I'd love to hear from people that have used it or the proprietor.

I am glad we all thought the exact same thing about the pics being taken in the fall. Alo if whos not to say pic 1 was taken in aug pic 2 in sept and pick 3 in oct and just labeled day 4 day 10 day 30? I did ask the seller some questions and he said the calf was washed twice a week and the average temp was 75 degrees with no cooler. I agree, this stuff seems wayyyyyy to good to be true. He said the research on this stuff was done 15 years ago. I did have a person pm and say they used it in late summer on a hard haired simmy and it worked magic and they swear buy it. I guess the price is arouns $100/galloon. I trust the people who pm about it, i still would like to hear some other testimonies about it before i go and spend $100/galloon per calf to get them ready for our online sale. If this stuff works, it could change the industry.

They must not want to sell it very bad as I have emailed with no response as well and tried calling with no answer or return phone call. I just wanted more information and would probably at least try it if I could get a returned email or phone call. Just my experience so far.

I found it on Valley Vet or Amazon websites.  There were other wedsites also.

I don't believe that the stuff you found is the same stuff in this thread.

Post a link.

Thanks

I have used Show Coat on my kids show calves last winter early spring in an effort to prevent my kids steers from losing their hair before OYE. The hair seemed extremely healthy and my kids steers held their hair for OYE. I plan to start using it again soon, earlier than last year, and see if it works even better since I will be using it over a longer period.  I sent a text to the individual that designed Show Coat and told her people were asking about it on this site. I am hoping she will become a member and answer your questions.

I also had a friend use it during the summer months on his goats. He swore that it did an amazing job on his goats. They won either grand or reserve champion doe at the Oklahoma City State Fair and did exceptionally well with the others they showed. He is a true believer in the stuff.

Its not!
I don't know what pictures yall are looking at but I sent them pictures of my results.  I had a steer that rubbed off his hair about the size of a softball on the top of his back.  I bought some at Ft Worth and within three weeks it was completly covered with hair and you could barely tell.  Yes it was winter but I'm a believer!

I wanted to bump this post up as I am also curious about Show Coat. Any new opinions and does anyone know if suppliers carry it in Canada?

Chris Wilson from Iowa is selling it (used to work for Trausch Farms)..Friend him on facebook for more info.. U can use all the hair care products you want. BUT hair all comes down to genetics and hard work. If your not rinsing, brushing, blowing and working the hair daily for hours on end. Your never going to have the hair you want.

Thanks RedChuck, I've seen Chris Wilson's facebook posts and know about genetics and hard work but I would still like to know what people (who don't sell the product) are saying about it.

I used show coat on Slider from the time he was 6 months old until he was on display at the Ohio Beef Expo.  You can ask anyone who saw Slider in person that he was impressive.  I can't count the number of times I was asked how I got that kind of hair on an Angus bull.  You have to try this product yourself.  I know they sell it by the gallon but I order it by the case. It is a tremendous product.
