I would like to know what type of drench works best on show day to get a calf looking full and his top popping.  Thanks in advance for your help!!

Every steer is different and you have to have a different approach for each one.  I don’t think it’s a one size fits all application.  Hydration is the most important thing after hauling, they may only need water and a bottle of dextrose.  There is a product in Texas called R&D that works real good on show day , but show shake and keepinon is good

For us, it just depends on the animal and what they need.

Some of the stuff we use:
-Water
-Dextrose
-Keep'n On
-Juiced
-R&D
-Show Shake

If we only care about their appearance, we use warm beer.  If beer isn't appropriate for the given show, we will use warm 7-Up.

I have heard of some people using propylene glycol.  What is that supposed to do?

If my high school chemistry teacher was correct it is a synthetic liquid substance that absorbs water. Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't seem like it would be of any benefit to drench cattle with it.
