What makes a difference in what length of a stick that you need. Does it depends on the person or the animal.  ??? I went to order one and there were like a million sizes to choose from. Also has anyton used the little comb thingy that you can put on the end of them?

I usually go with one that is about the height of your shoulder. So just measure how tall your shoulder is and go around there. I dont use the Comb on the end. I think its just as good to scratch with the point.

i'm old school.  i like the wooden ones with the screw in the end.  they break if you are too annoying to the calf, and sometimes when you are not, so train on the indestructo's.

lengthwise, you should be able to maneuver the stick without cumber and without over reaching or the stick sticking too far out behind you.

if its a big steer or a bigger heifer I like one to my shoulder.  Littler calves I have to get a smaller one or I feel akward.  Best bet is to check them out in person and get it in your hands.
