Simmental Sires

I have a purebred simmental Macho daughter out of a Black Irish Kansas cow that I am flushing soon. She is a really big bodied, big boned ground sow type of cow.  She had a really nice Dream On natural heifer calf this year and we already flushed her to Star Power but we don't have any calves on the ground yet. I'm debating between three simmental bulls: DJ Salution, Built Right and Entourage. I'm mainly looking for a bull that will clean her neck up and will not decrease frame sice. Which would be the best bull to use on her?

Of the three you mention, Built Right should do the best job accomplishing your objectives.  He has worked for us on a full figures donor similar to your cow.

Built Right will bring the frame down. He def. downsizes. and with the Built Right x Macho I would be worried about white..

Salution I don't think will help you on the front end..not that he has a bad one but I don't think he'll make it alot better.

I would use Entourage if you don't mind the Dream On influence. I have seen him in person and he is nice.. I don't care for him promo pic at all but he is sound. stout. deep bodied and good fronted..

  You may want to look @ STF Affirmed &  the bull named High Voltage. It looks like to me that if you can find a bull to clean up and extend her front that your cow may be able to do the rest.

I would go a different direction and suggest remingtons lock n load dream on is 3 generations back he's clean fronted and a baldy to boot

Lots of different opinions....

If you have already had success with Dream On, I'd follow that path again with Built Right or Entourage.  If she's already big bodied and moderate, I sure wouldn't think BR would moderate frame any.  I'd say he normally maintains size on the smaller cows, but will moderate cows that are larger.  He certainly won't detract from the body or the front; those are both his strongsuits....With her having Macho and Meyer, you could be suseptible to some white.  But I still like this mating.

Nothing against Entourage or Salution...just don't know as much about them.

Love our Mr. Amigo calves seems to work great on 3 way cross cows.
