Wow... (clapping)!
Now we have BULLS here.
For me Alta Cedar 3Z is top. followed very close bu white HC Dot Com 17Z. Also roan HC 50Y is very interest one, could show a little more meat on posterior.
But Alta 3Z and HC 17Z can be loaded to Brazil just NOW!

I have to agree those bulls you like are fabulous!!! I saw the Alta Cedar bull in Agribition this past November and he was masculine, thick, long, and deep.  The Dot Com bull's dam is a beautiful cow, and I suspect he will be one heck of a sire.  <beer>

Creekside Shorthorns

19Z and 7Z
First one has a very good posterior shape with many muscle on top. A little bit short loin. Good shoulders too.
7Z is long and deep. Not so many muscle on posterior as 19Z, but a very good choice to produce weighty steers.
Bad colors. Should be roans!  <alien>

Cowboy 19Z is the most complete. Long, deep, full meat on posterior. Masculine. Like much him.
The sires are unknown to me.

No doubt will choice Zeeman 39Z.
Could show a better neck. But the remaining animals is very good. Congrats to all breeders for so high quality stock.

Here are a couple more:

HC Jefferson 58Y is a Hillside Leader X CYT Maggie 9103. He is an April 2011 and presently weighs 1880 lbs.

HC Zantac 102Z is a Saskvalley Pioneer 126P X B Good Red Sue 1P. He is an ET late January yearling

The Jefferson bull looks like a good practical bull.  Not as pretty as the yearlings in the sale, but solid  performance and he looks like he's made right.  Too bad US breeders don't think there are genetics that will work in the "real world" and still produce cattle with eye appeal and balance.  Was he out of a 2 year old?

So excited to see those Trooper calves Hilltop, they live up to expectation! And of course, Winegum's son is a handy little bloke.

Thanks TDU. The 28Z bull has really come on the last few weeks so we are quite excited about him. Oh by the way Winegum just became a Grandma about a hour ago!!! Her 2 yr old  had a heifer calf sired by Hillside Leader. Little Hilltop will be sad when she gets up and goes out and finds a red calf!

We took some more pictures of Jefferson yesterday, as the one I posted does not do him justice. Hopefully the new pictures will be better. Yes, he is out of a 2 year old that we got from Cyclone Trace and sired by Pure Solution. Jefferson had a 80 lb BW and was unassisted at birth. He is really wide based and packed full of meat. He is a very moderate framed tank.

We finished taking pictures of 25 bulls and 10 heifers for the Sun Country sale yesterday afternoon. Anyone who has never had a sale has no idea of how much work is involved, and the work is just starting!! Lots to do yet and it doesn't end when the sale is over. There is almost as much to do afterwards!

It has been a real blast watching the bulls develop through the winter. The past 5 years we have fed all our bulls at another location, but we decided to feed our own bulls this year. Quite frankly, I have really enjoyed this.

It doesn't matter where they're located, Joe- form still follows function.  It's a phenotypical problem. You cannot get the type of extension needed to compete out of a thrifty animal.  It is extremely difficult to get the base width you're looking for when there is more focus on how the animal appears from the profile.  I feel like width should hold considerably more value than length but again, I subscribe to an old school philosophy where you evaluate cattle in terms of depth. Width, and THEN length.

You Canadians are spoilt for choice!  Just looking at these pictures I'm sure I could find at least a dozen suitable bulls.

Great to see a picture rich posting, thanks Jaimie. (clapping)
