These are some SVF Star Power heifers that were weaned two weeks ago. They were born between 9/11 to 10/10.

The pics are in the same order as the poll. Take your pick! Comments are appreciated.

What kind of cows are they out of? Are you using Star Power again?

They are out of purebred Simbrah cows. I didn't use him again this year, but I like how these heifers are developing so I will probably use him again the next go around only on mature cows.

All going to be pretty good mommys. 35 isn't the prettiest profiling, but I think she is thick enough, pretty enough and going to be a good dam!lol

I really like the guts on the 35 heifer.
Me too.

52  may be cleaner and smoother and straighter lined, but she appears to be way too refined, IMHO.

This poll has really surprised me with how many like 52. Like you said she has a super front end and nice lines, but she doesn't have the cowy look that the others do.

My favorite is 35 followed by a close second by 34.

But then again lots of people raise show steers that want that freak front end so I guess it makes sense why many have picked her. So far it appears half and half that some like the great lines and front ends and the other half likes the cowy types. I'm a fan of cowy types.

I really love a cowy female with a great front end!

But will always take guts over a cool front

35 i guess?  What do you try to do with these cattle?

34 and 35 are commercial Simbrah and the rest are registered. We were Angus and Sim-Angus once upon a time, but with drought after drought we've realized that we needed Brahman influence in our momma cows. All of these heifers descend from former show heifers of mine and my uncle that have been able to withstand the droughts. We're increasing the number of our Simbrahs and would like to have a small registered herd (50) and the rest commercial females (350) to cross with Angus or Red Angus and sell progeny as commercial replacements.

I like the 35 heifer, but I thought she was a bit too wasty fronted. I voted for the 49 heifer. She seems to be the most balanced/complete heifer of the group to me. She seems refined, but she she still has some rib and a decent hip to her.

My $.02

I had 3 males, one i steered at 3 months and intended to keep the other two as herd bull prospects, but times are tough here with the drought so all three went to the sale barn. They were good, but not enough to make me want to spend the money to feed and develop them.
