Steer loves to lick my shoes and clothes. Is he lacking some kind of mineral?

My son's market steer is really frustrating me with his lack of eating.  It hit me last night that he must be lacking some time of mineral because he loves to walk up to me while I am in his pen and lick my shoes and coveralls.  He literally tries to put my shoes in his mouth. I have white salt blocks and mineral blocks in his pen.  Any thoughts on what he might be lacking in his diet?  If I can figure it out and add it to the feed, he should devour it like my shoes.  ;D

I really think that it's just the calf's personality. Some just do that & some calves are just attracted more to certain PPL. If we are out looking @ calves in the fall @ various sales, calves will always find my one daughter & want to lick her. Beats me why??

I have had several that lick too.

I had a heifer calf last spring that (from the day she was born)  would lick and chew on your clothes.  Just her personality.

most calves that I've worked that were calm were like that.  My steer my senior year ripped multiple back pockets off my wranglers by the time we were done
