How can anyone vote when the National Championship bowl game has not been played?  What if Florida kills Oklahoma, would Texas still be in the talk?  They aren't right now, but we've obviously got several Texas fans on this board.  ;)

Let's watch the National Championship game 1st & then pic the winner.

Agreed, playoff is needed but this is the system were stuck with now so there is no other choice besides the winner tonight.

if you are going to use a playoff system use the top 4 teams that way there is only 1 extra game.  People forget that football is an incredibly rough sport that takes a lot out of someone after they play it.  That's why you couldn't have a larger playoff bracket.  Besides if the no. 5 team complains about being snubbed it isn't as big of a deal as the no. 3 team if all 3 had only one loss.

Hopefully a good game tonight and no blowout.  I think it comes down to OU's dline stopping the run and forcing tebow to make plays with his arm.

Bradford is also going to need protection, monster oline, but Florida has a lot of speed on the edge.  Need to establish run game early, keep Florida on its heels and than mix it up down the field.  Too bad DeMarco Murrary is hurt.

A playoff is needed. IMHO the only way to stop the crying about who is #1 is take the winners of each conference and let them have at it.

agreed on the fact that they had the two hottest teams at the end of the year. texas should not have been in the national championship game. i don't know why people don't understand that a loss earlier in the season is not as hurtful as a loss at the end of the year. when osu lost to illinois last year i automatically wrote them out of the championship game and accepted the fact that we would go to the rose bowl. but with a miraculous turn of events, we ended up in the title game. USC really lost their momentum losing to oregon state in the next game they played after dominating ohio state. Oklahoma didn't look bad against texas but texas tech gave texas fits in that game not to mention it was late in the season. Then Oklahoma kind of turned around their season and just whooped on everyone they played, alot like what florida did.

BCS is a joke.  Need to go to playoff system.  Utah has got the right to claim it they are the only undefeated team.  They spanked Alabama pretty good.

They always say it is too many extra games, and tough on the athletes.  Horse Apples, the professional teams play 18 to win a Super Bowl and our High School kids in Texas must play 16 to win a State Championship.  It is all about the BCS wanting to line their pockets, and the pockects of the Major conferences, cut and died.  Why is it okay for a 16 - 18 year old kid to play a 16 game schedule and not a 19 - 22 year old?  In both situations it is all about the money.  College football is a joke, the only reason they do not have Minor League Football is it would kill the Collegiate level of play.  Think about it and look at Minor League Baseball, these kids do not have to worry about grades and classes.  They are there fot the money.

S/B is right down here in Texas HS football starts playing in the middle of August and stop the first week of December. It's all about the money. I won't a playoff (argue) I don't.

i still don't really see the blowout that everyone was predicting, 24-14 isn't bad and if they score again in the end florida will get more credit than they deserve. i hate to say that one play really ruined oklahoma's chances but that first drive of theirs and that big hit on the long pass should have been pass interference. everyone who watched that play saw the defender get there before the ball.

Tebow would still only be the 4th best QB in the Big 12?  I don't think so. He's got all the intangibles.  Not to mention he showed he can actually throw a little tonight (with two INT's albeit).

OU played a heck of a game, and if they played 10 games, they would probably win 4 or 5 of them.

Oklahoma played a great game and should be proud ! Florida was just a little better tonight. Who would've thought they would win with defense.
