Would you rather have a separate forum for Non-Cattle Discussion or are you fine with people adding "NC" to their post in main forum?

I apologize if you experience any delays on the site.  I completely rebuilt the forums last night and I am seeing small issues that boils down to a upgrade that my hosting provider did on Tuesday night.  We are going to moving to a fully managed dedicated server in the next couple weeks. (just waiting for new server to be installed)

I think it's just fine. I have never been mean to a kid on here asking questions. If I can help I usually speak up. I have no problem with the younger folks on here. I'm 37. I'm still asking questions. If your kid reads something on here you don't approve of use it as a teaching moment. Don't shelter them. The real world is full of bad words and bad people. Doesn't mean your children will be bad if they read some argument or some crack on someone. I say leave it be. I like a debate heated or not.

Looks like it will probably stay in big show as NC, but will let it play out a bit.  I ran this poll about 2 years ago and it looks like it is replicating the same results.

Just want to make sure that this site meets the needs of its users.

I agree but think that age should be a required field in your profile.  It would help if everyone knew the age of the person they were trying to help or taking advice from.  I belong to another site that instituted this a few years back and it made a difference in the type of thread responses that were posted. First thing I want to say is..."Jason You do a GREAT JOB!"

I enjoy Steer Planet, enjoy the Forum!

IMHO...

My vote would be to remove the N/C.

It clutters the Forum, I normally just "skip over" or ignore such posts.

When I go the Steer Planet and the Forum, I do it to read about CATTLE.

If I want to read or hear about Politics, the weather, sheep, pigs, etc, I can go to another venue.

Just my two (2) cents.
