Stock trailer values

Is there somewhere to find book value on a stock trailer?  I am looking at an older 1986 20' aluminum Featherlite stock trailer but have no idea the value of it.

Not really a book value but it will give you and idea of what similar trailers are selling for.
We buy and sell a few trailers here and there. Bought an 89 aluminum Featherlite 20 ft last year. It was 7 ft tall with 2 8ft compartments mats on floor with a 4 ft dressing room. Kind of a stock combo deal. It had only been used to sell tack out of so it was above average in condition. Those older Featherlites are built like a tank. It was around $8-8500.
I'm guessing maybe around 5-6k for a 6 1/2 ft tall cattle trailer in good condition with that much age on it.

Not sure on "book" values but I just sold a 1987 Four-H 61/2 X 20 for $6500. We had bought it new in 1987 and it was in pretty good shape. Much stouter built than the new ones.

I purchased a new Sooner Aluminum 20 X 7 in 1992 for $7800.  I sold it in 2007 for $7500, and both the buyer and I were thrilled.

So, I would say to look at the purchase price new, as the apprx value today, assuming it is in very good to good condition.

In 2011 i was searching the internet for a good used aluminum GN,looked at a bunch,most had usual wear and tear and ranged in price from $9000-13000.Bought a new Wilson for $15000.To me it just made more sense to buy a new one.

Did the same thing as ROMAX.  Searched for 3 months for an aluminum 24' stock combo to have a 4' locking dressing/tack room.  Could not find anything used that I liked very much so started looking at new ones.  Finally narrowed down to Wilson or Merritt and went with Merritt because they had one ready and Wilson needed 4 months to build one.  Some folks might not like the punch sides, but I think they look cool, especially as a cattle trailer.  This trailer is great as an all purpose trailer for everything from everyday livestock transport to cattle shows and horse activities.  Cost me $21,500 and I expect it will hold its value way better than a steel one so long as we don't dent it too badly.
