My amen steer has stomach ulcers, the vet told us to put a tablespoon of baking soda on his feed in the morning and it has been working great for a week now. He just recently started to back off grain again... is there something stronger than baking soda that can keep him on feed till fair? I only have 71 days till fair and hes my best calf and needs to be finished! HELP!

Go to a good horse vet and the Treatment used in horses works great, my old-timers kicks in and I can't remember the name but it comes in syringes like mastitis ointment little prices but does work.
I think I found it searching horse stomach ulcers.

Would ulcer guard for horses work? There is also several feed additives for horses that are on the market. Just an idea.
