My daughters I 80 heifer is 10 months old. Looking for suggestions on a bull to breed her to in about 4-5 months.  Wanting to get another show calf for her to show.

Wanna breed her back to one with a low BW
Like Jesse James or along those lines. Because a calf alive is always better than one dead

The cow is an Alias.  This heifer is a Maintainer, so we would like to be able to register her offspring as well.  I would like to clean up her shoulders and she tends to roach her back when she walks as well.

I agree with your thoughts on her. Jesse James has a place in the industry, just not sure this is it. He has powered them up for me, rather then clean them up. If I remember correctly Comfort Zone is PB Maine so might be a good choice for your Maintainer hopes as well. Like I said, I'll try to remember to let you know.

I see several people have already recommended Jesse James.  I have had 2 Jesse James calves the last two years out of first calf heifers.  The first, born in April 2013, was out of a big, fat, just out of the show ring Heat Wave cow that could have had problems.  She dropped a 72 lb. heifer calf and it was up nursing in no time.  She was quick to find the creep and grew well.  She possessed power with femininity, sound structure and had lots of hair, even here in Texas.  I sold her and she did some winning.

Last year I had a May heifer out of a 23 month old PB Angus heifer who had not been pushed.  Just grew up on pasture with some supplementation.  She dropped a 75 lb. heifer calf that was vigorous and nursing soon after hitting the ground.  She found the creep at an early age and went in there before and more than her contemporaries.  She is feminine, has more power than her mother, has a wide back, moves out and has a lot more hair than her mother.  Again during the summer in Texas.  She is currently being shown and winning classes.  Also been getting second and third looks during the champion drives.  As she matures, she'll be getting the nods.

What a lot of people don't realize is the "Blazer Cow" is sired by Blazer, a double bred Whiplash i.e.. double bred Meyer.  Jesse James heifers might not be as powerful as some other sires calves at their age but they keep growing, they keep getting better and should make great mothers.

DJ Ceasar, or Witch Doctor for the old school choices. A lot of new Bulls go back to Ali pretty quick in their pedigree. Depends on how much line breeding you want to do. All the Bulls mentioned are good Bulls from the calves I have seen.

Moto Moto would work great on her.  Complete outcross.  The American Galloway Breeders Association does offer an exhibition certificate.  It is not a registration, but allows the exhibitor to show as a Galloway in the AOB class.

Done a little looking around, and seem to like Mercedes Benz for his front extension and length of body.  Worried about JJ giving her trouble calving.  Anxious to see the Comfort ZOne and Gucci calves.  This heifer is pretty stout - added a front shot.  Thoughts....?

Jesse James give her problems calving? Ha!.  It's not always just weight but shape. If you have a nice fronted bull with good shoulders, it's not a problem.  Even with bigger calves.  But I'll repeat, I had two that were 72 and 75 lb. born unassisted out of first calf heifers.  One out of an Angus heifer.  Both of mine were feed quite well (read: were probably too fat).  And a JJ heifer will be worth something.  Even to yourselves, if you like the heifer you're breeding to.  I can't say that about any of the other bulls.  To hit and (big) miss.  You may see some nice ones online, but I've never seen one in person that was any good.

Our I-80 heifer calved yesterday morning ( 2 days after due date) with a 78# Gucci bull calf born unassisted. From the time she started labor till she was licking it off was about 1/2 hr. Calf was very vigorous and up nursing quickly. With the 2 Gucci calves we've had this week out of first calvers I would definitely use him again for calving ease and both calves have a good look with great structure.

With what you discribed, I think Gucci would be a safe choice. He would help loosen her up a bit over the top and give you calving ease. Mercedes Benz and Comfort Zone get a little too close genetically for me. Moto Moto would be another option that is unique, especially if you want to add hair quality and outcross genetics. If you get too much clubby or Maine in the mix then it can sure get yourself backed up against the wall with limited options on female offspring.
