I would have to agree. The SULL bred cattle I have seen are what I would call optimum sized. Many of the females and bulls are in that 5.5-6 frame. Like any big herd, there are a few outside this range but most are very uniform in frame and in quality. It is worth your while to go to a sale, or visit this herd. It is a definite eye opener.

Does anyone know what this bull's frame score is?

I have an Asset heifer. She is moderate and pretty fancy. He does not make them huge in any sense of the word. I have seen several sell here in Ohio.

Thanks. I've got a heifer that I'm considering breeding to him that's a little taller than I would like.  I hoped he could bring the calf down a notch.  I really like the calves I've seen pics of.

Don't use him on heifers. Solution x Mona Lisa isn't exactly known for calving ease.

For a first calver there are other options that I would use first. Both Jazz and Gizmo will not add any additional frame. jazz will reduce some frame.Maybe a second calver but definitely not heifer as Olson said.

She'll be a second calver.  Should have her first calf this month, so I still call her a heifer. ;)

Good deal. Whats her pedigree? What do you have her bred to? If she doesn't have a lot of BW in her pedigree, and she does a good job calving, Asset could work.

We're stongly considering using him to flush our Myrtle Bo cow.    I absolutely love the Mona Lisa 35Lcow and I'm intrigued to see what a maternal line like Myrtle Bo crossed on the Mona Lisa/Solution might do.    Any thoughts??

Great idea Oakbar... the only drawback may be you will have to dig a bigger hole to put your money in! I think this combination of genetics could really click.

So is Asset  related to Prime Time, Grey Goose or Eldorado ?

I have not been in the pasture next to Grey Goose calves or Eldorado calves - but from the photos I prefer Eldorado calves? Prime Time is very moderate and adequate muscled - saw him in Louisville/ Denver and wonder how those calves are looking?

Asset is a full brother to Grey Goose & 3/4 brother to Eldorado.

UMMMMM Don't Think So!!!! Eldorado is by Trump, The others are by Solution!! Are far as the EPD's go , get over it. That is what they are. You can believe them or not , but let it go . That horse has been beat into glue.

Trump , Solution, Whatever! They are all the same to me. If they make you happy then use them. MY BAD!!!!! If that issue has been beat into glue , it's still a sticky situation for the breed.

According to your Avatar, you are a newbie on SP.I would assume by your comments about the above posts,a very inexperienced one at that, and possibly very unknowlegeable about shorthorns and their breeding.Let me assure you that there are a lot of very knowlegeable folks on here, and they are exceptionally knowledgeable about shorthorns and their breeding.

I think where the person is getting the full brother statement is from the No Bull Catalog.
Lot 8 says

Roan Goose was the lead bull in our Champion Pen of Five. He possesses above average IMF (3.71), REA (16.8), and huge testicles. He is a full sib to breed greats Grey Goose, Asset and Eldorado. Proven and productive genetics in a well designed phenotype.

Confusing..... ??? Eldorado is a Trump so not sure why they put that in the catalog.
