I didn't do the math but I think Bruce Brooks announced that the first 50 lots averaged $15,700!!  I guess the entire economy is not dead yet!!

The sale gross was close to 1.4 million, and on a per head basis it averaged close to $15,000. That may sound like a big bunch of money and it is, but they have 800 heifer pregnancies to calve out next spring. Now that sounds like a big bunch of money as well. Thanks to the John Sullivan, John Elder, and all the Sullivan crew for putting on a great set of cattle and some of the best hospitality I have seen. It was a great event and a great set of cattle. All I can say is WOW!
Despite the average and the hoopla, I still think there was some buys in the sale.
