I've been having fun touring some Canadian herds in summer for the first time and seen some pretty cool calves. This dude in particular I thought I'd share here, he's one of my favourites (I think I've got a case of hair envy).

I'm also loving this stud muffin (I must have a thing for white bulls right now)

Thunderdownunder - I think that top calf knows he's pretty special and I also think he's a stud. What's his pedigree?

Thunder, the white sh seem to be getting more popular all the time I have bull buyers asking for them every year mostly for crossbred cattle the blue roan cow is very popular here. Have you seen or heard of the bull Yanburgan Tobermory? I am using him for some of my cows I keep my tank at a custom cattle center and have everything delivered there when I got my tank home to use I had a heifer ready and thought I knew the number of the cane when I thawed it out I checked and it was Belmore Jackaroo I thought I was out of, so bred her to him I have one more straw left. If you are in the northern Alberta stop by I would like to show you around.

April bull calf grandson of Jackaroo looks similar to him.

I have used him a lot and like his calves I had a 3yr old bull I kept out of a good sh cow had 2 calf crops and he died when a tree fell on him this past winter in a wind storm I thought I was out of semen but have 2 left hope to get another good bull. If I am not mistaken Thunder showed Jackaroo in Austraila.

Actually, we never ended up showing Jackaroo... We sent him out to work instead and then off to stud! Having said that though, I did initially break him in with the intention of showing him. No exaggeration, he was broken in under two hours. Best temperamented bull I've ever dealt with!

Good to hear there is still some Jackaroo straws floating around, keep us posted on the results!
