how are everyones sunseeker calves. I have two really nice calves. I have one that is out of a forplay x sugar ray cow. He is the thicker one right now and he is really large boned and low set. The other one is out of a full throttle cow. Is is a different made steer. He is thick but not as thick and he has more leg but is deeper. I think in the end the throttle will end up being the best. Just wondering how everyone else has made out with their calves.

Here's my Sunseeker out of a Playmate cow. Picture is about a month old. He really looks good as he gets older.

My daughter has an end of August SS steer that we bought from an ad on SP. Muscle, bone and hair is about the best way to describe him. He just needs his neck extended and some leather cleaned up on his front. Other than that, we have really high hopes for him. I'll try to get some pictures of him posted in the next week or 2.

i have never had any personally but i have seen well over a hundred in various pastures here and there and the only complaint i have is that some tend to be too straight fronted. a few are also leathery necked. all in all it's hard to dispute his ability to sire great cattle you just need to be extra critical on structure when selecting cows to breed him to or buying calves in the pasture just as you do with many other bulls.

From my experience we absolutly love our sunseekers until they reach about 14 months and then they kind of fall apart. but its hard to beat them as calves and early prospects

I completely agree great calves for early jackpots, and once you get them later on they just fall apart

those 2 steers did alot of winning in ohio.they got sold to michigan and have not heard anything about them since. i have the black ones brother and i think he is better than the him. Stout, big bones, hair, sound. i would clean up his front a bit but its not simmy bad. just a touch of leather

sunseeker x next level (cigar) heifer.

IMO SS is the best bull out there (who needs a 140lb heatwave calf?)

Zach- those are some very nice looking calves (steers and heifers both). I wish mine had the neck that your 2 tone steer has.I found a SS steer that looks very close to my daughter's. He has been advertised on here. It's at turnerclubcalves.com. If we needed another steer, I would seriously think about that 10 hour drive to go look at him.

sorry i am horrible at taking pictures. The first one is the one out of the full throttle cow and the second is the sugar ray.i got them stading next to each other and the black and white one is really starting fill out. They both had a huge amount of hair so i bared them off.

My sunseeker calves are wonderful. The only problem is that one is mean, the other one has a small pelvis, and the other one she is good but acts up once in a while, she did very well last year and has a wonderful heifer calf this year. Hope yours is better than mine. Our sunseekers known to be that way?

We loved our sunseekers this year. We did not have a structure problem out of any of them and all of them were sold for a high premium. Here are two of them pictured below.
