I flushed Prairie Lane Sparkle 1K and her daughter HC Sparkle Delight 2X ( by Saskvalley Pioneer 126P). Sparkle's first calf as a two year old, was Wolf Willow Majpr Leroy 1M, who was a herd sire here for many years and was also used around the world by AI.
These two donors were selected to be flushed by a group of New Zealand breeders last summer and I flushed both to Talladega after they were done their flushes. I have attached pictures of both donors

If I'm not mistaken this is the bull he used on the shorthorn cows he purchased at Denver and it was such a calving nightmare that he quit the shorthorn business and turned the cows over to run on shares with Wally Klose .

Pretty common theme and it will continue to be as long as people keep making excuses for these type of bulls. We need to stop worrying about stepping on toes and start dealing in reality. I've seen the bull in person... But even if I hadn't, just by looking at the picture, I can tell you he's a big hard bull... hard doing -as is reinforced by the pictures of his more leg than body chi looking calves.. hard calving-- as apparent by his bulldog phenotype and alligator head--- I'd say anyone with several hundred cows should have had the cattle sense to have seen that coming. It truly is unfortunate that these type of animals are passed off as commercially acceptable. Folks have got to quit blurring the lines and as JIT would say, start calling a spade a spade.
