Tattoo Help Needed

I have a registered chimaine heifer that I need to get tattooed. I was looking at her registration papers today and on the back it shows a picture of an ear and the tattoo. The tattoo has too lines, the first is just the tattoo and the second is the herd prefix. I have never seen a two lined tattoo before and just wanted to make sure that it is correct before I do it.

Have you ever registered anything in another breed? It's not "how it's done" in some other breeds.

A lot of other breeds will to prefix in one ear at the herd ID in the other. But definitely get it right before you do anything.

Just for future reference, the appropriate abbreviation of Association is assoc.  ;D

The herd prefix is an option and an extra cost for Simmi's
