I have a heifer out of him and I love her! She's got lots of body and she's super sound! As an added bonus, she has LOADS of hair and is colored too! I wouldn't call her wild, but she's definetly got some sass. First time I clipped her was a little.. Interesting, but I got her done and she's gottan better. Overall, I'm really happy with her.
There are quite a few being shown this season. Good calves, and all of them I've personally seen are real good on the ground.
I'm surprised Goddard doesn't have pics up. Over half of their fall steer sale was made up of Creature calves, and I know they're doing pretty good.

Ya know, I really thought that bull was going to take off a few years ago. The problem wasn't the quality of the calves. The problem was that Goddard's herdsman left to do his own deal. When Garrett Kalvig was working for Goddard, he was out going through cow herds, and helping people match up the right cows with the right bulls. When that was happening, there were a lot of really good Creature steers roaming around. Now it seems that the bull is just another really good one that doesn't get used enough to have a big impact on the industry.
If you still have the cows that you envisioned using him on several years ago when you bought that semen...by all means use it!

Goddard kind of disappeared so did Trausch-maybe for different reasons-Both had interesting bulls that worked well for people O0
I actually bought other semen recently from a neighbor/friend to breed some of my commercial angus cows to for a show steer for my son for county fair. While I was there getting the semen he (has a over full tank lol) gave me some units of the creature thats why i asked about him because havent heard much about his offspring or seen pictures. Thanks for the responses. Being an old dairy guy I am trying to learn a little and my son is taking interest in the cattle which is really cool.

Speaking of Trausch, it seems that basically the same thing happened to that operation. Chris Wilson and Raymond Gonnet used to be at Trausch's. I am not certain why they ended up going on their own, but as they left so did the relevance of Trausch Farms.
For whatever reason, Eye Candy seems to be getting popular again!? I don't know if it is a situation in which people are trying to raise more Eye Candy females (which I am told are really good cows), or if he is working better today on the extremely big bellied females that are going into production today.
Mark, we were talking the other day too about the absence of Young Money or any of his calves. Not even seeing any of his females really in production either. A close friend leased him for a summer and he was a great bull, not a pud and had great feet and legs. Promotion seems to be the biggest battle. No promotion lower semen sales and then they don’t get bred to the elite females.

What are the Creature's calves like disposition wise? I saw the Creature in stud and he was not a people friendly kind of bull himself, but some bulls don't really care for the atmosphere of the bull studs. Curious?

Personally, I believe that environment is the biggest determining factor. If they are exposed to people and activity when they are little, it seems to make a big difference.
If environment is taken out of the equation, I personally believe that the bull has a bigger impact on stupidity level of the offspring unless the cow is just plain nuts.
