It is just 2 weeks before our steer showing is over, this is my sons last year, we have had some fun and met some great people  I thought I would show a few pictures of the beginning and near the end. Do not have any pictures for this year so I'll use last year's.

His first calf was a commercial Angus calf we picked out of 80 head that had just been weaned, he had his head in the feeder the whole time we were sifting through the calves, noticed we could get withen 5 feet of him and he would look at you and go back to eating, for my sons first calf this was a perfect match.

His last calf was out of Invincible and probably just as mellow as his first, but sometimes I think it is the way the kid is with them that makes them that way. He won Senior Showmanship last year.

Sounds to me like the parents might miss the fun, friends and education as much as the kid. It is something isn't it!
Be patience, there will be grandbabies before to awful long. Thing there, when you get done spoiling them you can send them home.

This is when many many folks find a "neighbor kid" to show!  Looks like you guys have learned a lot! Nice job!

This is my daughter's first year in 4-H and first year of showing.  As of today we have 30 days until weigh-in for our county fair. I share in your excitment.  I have been raised with cattle and showing cattle as well have my children and it definitely gets "in one's blood."

Enjoy your son't last year and take in all the moments and BEST OF LUCK.!!!! (clapping)
