I am thinking of a name change from Clark Club Calves to Clark Heifer Calves.  Everything that I had bred clubby this year has had heifer calves.  I think I have at least 5 Highliner heifer now and the one bull I did get died.  I'm think the extra cost of sexed semen might be worth it.  I think we are about half done lets hope the other half has some bull calves.  What have other people been getting?

This is the first year in a few where we have been relatively close on bull and heifer calves. Right now we are 60% heifers and 40% bulls. We have been over 80% heifers for the past three years.... just when we are wanting to establish a bull sale, we get heifers!I have reduced our cow numbers almost by half in the past year, and we have almost as many bulls this year already as we have had in each of the past 3 years .

We are doing a little better on bulls this year but still are getting boockoos of heifers. you will see me only selling heifers on here this year. My dad bought 4 bred heifers and 1 cow and so far the two that have calved had heifers. My two heifers both had bulls!

Last year we went 26 bulls 4 heifers....year before that 20 bulls 6 heifers....this year 4 bulls out of 4 ...  I don't even care to look at the sex anymore.  I have 2 kids that want to show heifers and it looks like I may have to go buy heifers again lol

We are not quite that bad but have almost 2/3 bull calves. I would like to see about 2/3 heifers but have had pretty good luck so can not complain too much!

AI'ed 5 cows, and got 3 heifers (so far), out of the cows I wanted heifers from the most!  Looks like a good year so far as all I had been getting was bull calves in the previous years.  I know
this is a pretty small number of cows to use, but I am happy!!  I wrote down some pretty specific heat characteristics down on all of these cows just to see if breeding earlier or later resulted in a
specific sex progeny as some people talk about.

I'm gonna come to your place and load up as much of your water as I can transport and give it to my cows!  Out of the last 5 years I've only had one where I've had more heifers.  Right now I'm on a terrible string of ET bulls.  so far 5 out of 5 bulls with two more to go!  All things considered I'm in pretty good shape.  Two cows that I desperately wanted heifers from both gave me heifers.  Another cow that I really wanted a heifer out of has given me one of the best bull prospects that I've raised!  He's still pretty young but if he keeps trucking along I won't have a problem moving him.
