God bless, she is a tank. Will you show her up until she calves? We had a Kadabra x Meyer that is built similarly to her, maybe a little shorter, not as fuzzy (dang Kadabra Hair), but the parts are the same, she was pretty fat and we showed her through Louisville, she calved a month after Louisville at 21 months unassisted, so the thing that a fat heifer can't calve isn't always true. I think you have a nice female on your hands.

terminal looking = lacks femininity....long clean neck blending smoothly into the shoulders, longer head from poll to muzzle

When the push came to the extreme depth and width we gave some of that up....also giving up some calving ease with those bold shoulders...You can tell this when they brag "she calved un-assisted!!"  or "he was born un-assisted" in the sale catalogs.  It means someone on the farm didn't...

Your heifer looks really good for todays ring.  Lookout is a great choice....easy calving...his calves tend to be consistently good.  They do tend to be a bit smaller framed and with the depth of that heifer it will be interesting.  (I still like a little frame on my cattle.)  I use him on my bigger framed Angus cows and am really pleased.

My main problem with over conditioned heifers is getting them to stick...you've accomplished that....usually they calve okay...but it's producing milk.  Those fatty udders might look big but they many times don't give a tea-cup of milk on show heifers.  And it usually takes a couple of years to over come that for some reason.  Keep an eye out...might need to have some creep ready earlier.

Thanks you guys. She is only getting shown untill march... so i am planning on putting her out in the pasture over the summer so that she can slim down and tone up before calving.

Hey LOVE THIS HEIFER!!! she looks familiar?? Probably because she's at my house lol.. By the way to the guy who seemed to have thought she was too fat to breed, she actually bred very easy the first time. She isn't a market heifer and is very competitive as a breeding heifer in the southern show circuit.
