Thoughts on this steer?

This is a steer that I sold last year. He is out of a purebred Simmental cow and sired by Tyson.

He finished out at 1053.  The people I sold him to didn't really understand how to feed a "show calf".  I wish he would have weighed around 1350 but there was nothing I could have done.

This year, I fed the shit out of my calf, and he finished out at 940.  I was hoping for him to be 1200-1250, but he just didn't grow.  It sucked!

When I sold him in march he was eating 20 lbs of feed and weighed about 885 lbs.
