It's very hard to get a good picture of a 17 year old cow. I've always heard that she is a great cow. I have been told that Whiplash will breed better & more consistant than Meyer 734. Of coarse this is all hear say, so take it for what it is.

SJ8965, When you can get some calf pics up, that would help. Thanks.

So is TOOL worth another $5 a unit over Backlash?  Where are the other bulls that you have made out of this old girl.  I would like to try others to see what they could do.

I would like to see this cow flushed to TFR Cyrus, Cottonmouth or another Hereford marked bull.  If she is red I would guess that the calves would classify Hereford for the shows.  Especially where these bulls are as colored as they are.  Fun to try either way.

I used 10 units of Backlash this summer and will know how many stuck in March.

Meyer is a good bull and all but this mating gets a huge kick from the bottom side.  That cow must be one hell of a cow.  She made bulls that are still round barreled and soft out of Meyer.  She had to be something.  Does anyone have pictures of this old girl?  I would love to see her both now and as a younger cow.  This is at least the 4th bull of this mating that I know of.  I wonder what Fat Butt would do on her or maybe Dream On?  Guess I will have to wonder...
Trying to get her pictured, fighting weather.  Probably the first club calf cow ever pictured at 17.  She has worked on EVERYTHING we have used on her, Meyer, Irish Whiskey, Black Rhino, Double Struff, Full Flush, Heat Wave, New Look, all of them.

I need a cow like this.  Sure thing cows are hard to come by.  What is this cow and where did she come from?  Did you and Hixon raise her?nch

She was raised by Lupher Ranch in Wyoming. She is a Lash who is a Cunia out of Rambo's mom.  Her mom is an angus cross cow. Todd and I bought her 6 or 7 years ago. I have owned her my self for a year or two. She is the cornerstone of what I am trying to do here. I have a cell line on her and am looking to clone her and continue her legacy.

Thanks for the information Skyler.  He is a nice bull and one heck of a cow family behind him.  Wonder if Luphers have a picture of the old girl as a young girl.

For some reason I thought that Nate Lupher & his brother raised Whiplash. Did they sell the dam? She's red, right?

I think someone needs to phone Wes Lupher about this "Tool" bull and his owner.  IMHO

They did raise him. We bought his dam C17 I think 5 years ago. She is red. We brought her here and have flushed her since then.

So, I know someone above wanted to see pics of her previous flushes.. but I would like to know, and see what she produced by D-Stuff most urgently.

I had heard that she died a while back and that was part of the reason that Chris Buetler ended up with Backlash

Not sure what Chris was told, but she isn't dead. We are just finishing flushing her IVF have to more brothers from that. She is still going strong. We are gonna try to get some pictures of her up too. We also have a cell line and plan on cloning the cow in the future.

We just flushed both sisters to TOOL. We have frozen Heat Waves and our bull Blazer. Blazer is a double bred Whiplash son who breeds very similar to whiplash but more moderate, bigger hipped, and stouter. Some of our best cows. We will be flushing both again soon.

This whole saga is sounding more like a soap opera.  Bull sits in a pasture in WY breeding cows instead of being promoted while he is a full sibling to one of the best clubby mama makers.  Another full sibling comes out ahead of him, then we get told the best one was held back.  Old mother cow changes hands a few times.  I would like to be able to read between the lines with all this.

My guess and this is only a guess is the breeder of the cow saw she was getting up there in age and sold or traded her off to someone to flush.  I would bet that in that deal was a clause to get some embryos or a flush or something.  Wonder cow was worn out and not producing enough eggs and there was a ruckus over some of the calves/embryos and ownership of the cow.  Hence the bulls were not promoted as the ownership was in question.  Wonder how close I am on all this.

I would say very close, as myself has been wondering what's up with this as well.  For a cow who's been flushed a zillion times, you'd think that the million people who have been asking for results and offspring pictures would get their desires granted.. I mean seriously, if I were promoting a bull, I'd for sure be doing all I can to get semen SOLD.

In addition, if the bull was used so hard to be un- pictureable, I mean is he worth using? I'd guess he must have been running a couple hundred cows year round, with no grain, and in snow knee deep, walking up hill both ways...  What's he been on now, a self feeder?

I'm not a moderator and I'm not pretending to be one but whats going on with all the pessimism on this thread?  A good picture can do wonders to promote a bull but a bad one can ruin any chances of selling any semen.  MAYBE they were waiting to prove the bull before promoting him, or maybe they wanted a great picture and the timing was never right to get one.  Possibly its the middle of winter in Wyoming like it is everywhere else in North America, or maybe they have a life and don't spend all their time on the Internet trying to figure out someone elses bussines.  Whatever their reasons are, why don't we give this guy a chance and get off his back long enough to get some calf pictures up to show us what his bull can do.  Have a Merry Christmas. <cowboy>

I love that so many people know so much about my bull. I've seen this kind of discussion about other bulls on here and I want to set the record straight so there are no rumors.
The bull was used very heavy in Wyoming as a yearling in multi sire pastures and was never "photo fat". He did fine but never good enough for a picture. He was ran in Laramie and wintered in grass hay. He looked good but not ready for a picture.  Todd and I ran a large group of cows together, when we split the cows up he got one brother and I got this bull. I brought him home and because of the timing we used him on a small group of cows. He ran with all the cows this year. After we pulled him out of cows I feed him a little grain so we could picture him.  We wanted to be able to prove the bull before we started promoting him.  We are very pleased with the results. He's finally mature and in good enough shape to get a picture worth promoting.  There was never any issue about ownership or problems with the donor cow.  I am still trying to get calf pictures up. We have been fighting weather here. Not sure how Wes got that bull from Todd but that was after we split the two up. The only reason I'm posting this is to stop any rumors or anyone else who knows so much about my bull. So now you know.

Well thank you for clearing that up..  Now what has the cow produced in her past, as it sounds like you just have a ton of calves from her.  Was she flushed prior to this last year or two- and what happenedn to those calves.  I'm still very interested in this prospect for one aspect of my life.
