torch or clip?

Does anyone like to torch to rough out? Especially in the winter when calves are so woolly. Do you use the torch on the head?

Do not use the torch on the head. Make sure to torch them about 2 weeks before to get the burnt ends of the hair off, a curry comb works great!

I LOVED the torching - we didnt do heads or necks but everything else. Just condition and rinse well after. My blue roan was a little brown where he was white but it came off
