Upcoming Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana shows

I have tried posting in the upcoming shows with no luck. Does anyone know of any shows starting now until the early July in WI, Ill, or Indiana? I have been searching w/o much luck. Thank you for any information

I know UW-Platteville has a show 3rd weekend in April i believe. Also UW-River falls has a show the first weekend in May.

I have never been to the platteville show but i do know a lot about the river falls show as I was in charge of it a couple years back. The nice thing about the river falls show is that is is two rings running at the same time. We started that the year before i took it over and it was a big hit because you only have to fit once and you basically walk out of one ring right into the other. I also had a very nice compliment from Bob May the year i ran it and he said that it is a nice show because it is more relaxed, but still plenty competitive. Those are just a few things that i can say about that show. Im going to try and bring a heifer up to it also but we will see what the spring brings lol.

Additional Wisconsin shows would be Black River Falls on April 13th, Wautoma on May 10th,  Janesville on May 17th, and Jefferson on June 7th.

River Falls is a nice show but if you don't get there early and you're not a "big dog" it may be hard to get any space. We quit going a few years back when all of the big dogs had their tack and chutes taking up 1/3 of an aisle and when I asked a show committee member about it I was told I could just stall in my trailer and set up my stuff outside because it's first come first served.
Black River Falls is a nice show, only been around a few years but they run it well and the facilities are almost new.

Thanks for the good comments. We try to run a good show at Black River. One thing we have over the college run ones is we don't use it as a fund raiser for a b&b or agr so all money that we get in goes back out after expenses.

Huntington, IN is on March 22nd and Whitley County (Columbia City) is the next day and about 20 miles away.  You can find more info on both of these shows listed under upcoming shows.

Quite a few of the counties in northern Illinois have open junior shows and regular open shows during county fair time.

Ranke Show Cattle- The Jefferson show is a junior show. The other three are all open shows.
Black River Falls has been discussed already. The Wautoma show is called Central Wisconsin Spring Fling. This is also a very new show. I have heard some wonderful reports about it.  The Janesville show is called the Rock County Preview Show. We really love this show!

We liked the Central WI Spring Fling in Wautoma last year their website is  http://centralspringshow.com/we will be going back there May 10th as well as to UWP Pioneer Showdown April 26th and hopefully we can make the Rock County show in Janesville this year. Maybe next winter won't be so rough and we can try the Black River spring thaw, doubt we'll be ready yet that early this year.
