I know there are plenty on the ground for reference, but I was curious what people were seeing for BW's on the Upgrade calves?  Have had a few now and they seem on the small side at birth.  Not a problem calving, I know, but I dont mind 80+ lb calves as I like their growth and hardiness for this time of year.

Simmental Version.  Ours have been pretty small.  60ish.  That is out of heifers and cows coming off the best summer we have had in recent memory.  The heifers were former show animals as well.  Lack of nutrition, I am pretty sure, didnt play into the BW.  Hate to sound like I am complaining, as that is not the case.  Just feeling out what other people have experienced.  Thank You for the input above!

We've not used him a lot but have used him on a variety of cows.  Ours have been pretty small and as calves are forgettable.    They finally start to come on later... after weaning.  One thing I have noticed is that you have to watch as they can get a bit round appearing in muscle pattern.

kanshow - thank you.  I guess that is what I was curious about more than anything.  How they grow out.  You always see the good/great ones made visible, but sometimes you wonder how long it took to get there, or did they hit the ground running.  Appreciate the input!

Coachmac, We haven't had a bad one yet, but takes them awhile to get there.    Sure is a big difference from the Broker calves which are good from day one and just keep getting better.
