Don't know what he looked like as a baby so it's a little hard to tell. There are many Heat Wave sons that sire pretty moderate birth weights  so I wouldn't discount him as a cow killer just based on his sire. My opinion, based on his height and width, is to breed him to a bigger mature cows.

the first time i saw that rear picture of him my jaw dropped just because of how wide he is from behind, base width and muscle. if he is sound then he could be a really good cow changer in the way that you don't have to compromise to get a sound calf.

He is a crossbred, so prepotency is a question, but if you are a believer in the old school theory of "like breeds like" he is a must use. Dollars to doughnuts if that little freak had to walk in snow the cattle track would be two single tracks instead of one wide one.
