washing steers

Now that winter is over what is the best way to remove the clumps of shit from the steers. I tried a small low power, power washer tonight and they did not like that at all. Looking for advice. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!

Use a blower fogger and fog mineral oil on them, give it a couple of hours and the manure balls should be easier to comb out.  Then wash and let water soak for a few minutes and seems most of them will start letting go without taking the hair with them.

If you have access to warm water, hook a hose to the bottom of the hot water tank in the house and attach a blender or a Y. Warm water works quick. Baby oil, maine and tail and pink oil will soft and release. Soaking the animals also helps. Sometimes if you leave it on all winter, the hair may come out with it. Get to rinsing ASAP to keep hair growing. Most likely you will start to see the calves shed out in a few more weeks. Get a grill block and work it til its almost nothing. it will pull the dead hair out.
We have rinsed all winter and pick the stalls on daily/every couple day basis. it makes clean up or keeping them clean easier.

Lots of baby oil.  Let it soak in, apply more. Let it soak in, apply more.  Repeat until the balls literally fall off, leaving all hair in place and super soft!!!!
