what does wilson work on and what does he change?
If you look @ his pedigree you'll see that he is a little lined up with throttle and I thought that he may make calves taller, but doesn't. Actually he seems to moderate calves. He will throw some color if it is in the cow, like say a percentage Ma. cow. Breeds similar to Dr. Who & Hannibal, but smaller than both. I have only pulled one Wilson calf & that was out of a 2nd calver that for some reason came bigger than I thought it would. Sunseeker was out of a 1st calf Heat Seeker heifer, but I couldn't recommend Wilson on heifers. If the cows are sound the calves will be sound also. His best calves come out of carrier cows with some stout power. Wilson was a long fronted, long bodied bull. He was scurred, but I can't remember him having any horned calves here. Kenny Brown from Afton,Iowa has the most Wilson cows of anyone in the country. Remember that all of the great Sunseeker calves that have been seen for the last years are 1/4 Wilson blood. There's a picture of a Wilson heifer and her 1st calf on a thread here not too long ago titled OCC Legend calf. Scroll down on that thread to get a look @ a good Wilson heifer out of a PB Angus cow.
